CNC 4 Pole 3-Phase Voltage Protector 63A-100A

The CNC 4 Pole 3-Phase Voltage Protector is designed for three-phase electrical systems where unstable utility voltage, over-voltage, under-voltage and abnormal current conditions can affect connected equipment.

Available in 63A and 100A ratings, this digital protection device continuously monitors electrical conditions and can disconnect the connected circuit when configured protection limits are exceeded. Once the supply returns to an acceptable condition, the device can reconnect after the configured recovery delay.

For Pakistani homes, shops, offices, workshops and commercial sites using three-phase WAPDA or utility supply, voltage quality can be just as important as basic circuit-breaker protection. A properly selected voltage protector adds another layer of protection against abnormal supply conditions.

What Is a 3 Phase Voltage Protector?

A 3 phase voltage protector is an electrical monitoring and control device designed to disconnect a connected three-phase circuit when supply conditions move outside configured limits.

It can monitor voltage conditions and current while providing configurable protection thresholds and reconnection timing.

This is different from relying only on a standard circuit breaker. An MCB or MCCB primarily provides overcurrent and short-circuit protection, while a voltage protector monitors abnormal supply conditions.

Why Voltage Protection Matters in Pakistan

Pakistani electrical installations can experience unstable utility supply during load shedding, restoration after outages, feeder problems and local distribution faults.

Low voltage may cause motors and compressors to draw abnormal current, while excessive voltage can place additional electrical stress on connected equipment.

A properly configured three-phase voltage protector can disconnect the downstream circuit when conditions fall outside the selected protection limits and delay reconnection until the supply becomes more stable.

63A vs 100A Voltage Protector — Which One Should You Choose?

VariantBest Selection Basis
63AThree-phase installations where normal feeder current remains within the 63A device rating
100AHigher-current three-phase feeders where the installation design requires additional current capacity

Do not select the 100A version simply because it has the higher rating. The protector should be selected according to actual feeder current, conductor capacity, upstream protection and the complete panel design.

CNC Voltage Protector for Three-Phase DB Panels

This device can be incorporated into properly designed three-phase distribution boards for voltage and current monitoring.

The panel should still contain correctly selected circuit-breaking equipment. For three-phase plus neutral circuit isolation and overcurrent protection, see the
CNC 4 Pole MCB range
available from Electrified.pk.

The voltage protector and circuit breaker perform different functions, so one should not automatically be treated as a replacement for the other.

Adjustable Over-Voltage Protection

The CNC YC6VAs family provides configurable over-voltage protection.

When the monitored supply exceeds the configured limit for the relevant delay period, the device can disconnect the downstream circuit.

This feature can help reduce exposure of connected equipment to sustained abnormal high-voltage conditions.

Adjustable Under-Voltage Protection

Low utility voltage can also be harmful, particularly to equipment containing motors, compressors and power electronics.

The CNC 3-phase protector allows an under-voltage threshold to be configured. When supply falls below the configured value, the device can disconnect the connected circuit and wait for supply conditions to recover.

Why Reconnection Delay Is Important

When WAPDA or utility power returns after an outage, voltage may not become completely stable immediately.

An adjustable recovery delay prevents the connected circuit from being energized immediately the moment voltage reappears.

This can be particularly valuable for systems containing compressors, pumps, HVAC equipment and other loads where immediate repeated restart may be undesirable.

Voltage Protector vs Automatic Phase Selector

These two products solve different electrical problems.

A three-phase voltage protector monitors the connected three-phase supply and disconnects when configured electrical limits are exceeded.

An automatic phase selector monitors individual incoming phases and automatically selects an available healthy phase for a compatible single-phase load.

If your requirement is automatic selection between L1, L2 and L3 rather than protection of a complete three-phase feeder, see the
CNC Automatic Phase Selector.

Voltage Protector vs Automatic Transfer Switch

A voltage protector should also not be confused with an ATS.

An Automatic Transfer Switch changes the load between two separate power sources, for example WAPDA and generator or utility and inverter.

A voltage protector monitors electrical conditions on the connected source but does not by itself perform the same dual-source transfer function.

For automatic source transfer in a compatible single-phase installation, see the
CNC YCQ1B 63A Automatic Transfer Switch.

Does a VA Protector Replace an MCB or MCCB?

No.

This distinction is especially important when designing a professional electrical panel.

A voltage protection device provides monitoring and disconnection based on configured voltage/current conditions. It should not automatically be treated as the installation’s sole short-circuit protective device.

Use appropriately selected circuit breakers according to the fault level, feeder current and installation requirements.

For three-phase circuits up to the suitable MCB range, view the
CNC 4 Pole AC MCB.

Does a Voltage Protector Replace an SPD?

No. A voltage protector and a Surge Protection Device perform different functions.

A VA protector responds to monitored over-voltage, under-voltage and current conditions according to its configured settings. An SPD is intended to limit short-duration transient surge energy.

A professionally designed three-phase panel may require both functions depending on the installation.

Suitable Applications

  • Three-phase commercial distribution boards
  • Shops and offices with three-phase utility supply
  • Workshops and small industrial panels
  • Three-phase pumps and service panels
  • HVAC and compressor distribution panels
  • Commercial solar AC-side protection arrangements
  • Three-phase generator-backed systems
  • Large residential three-phase connections
  • Sites affected by unstable utility voltage

Can It Be Used With a Three-Phase Solar Inverter?

A correctly selected voltage protector may form part of the AC-side protection arrangement of a three-phase solar installation where its electrical ratings and protection settings are compatible with the system.

It should not be installed on PV-string DC circuits unless the product is specifically rated and designed for that DC application.

The inverter manufacturer requirements, distribution-board design and protection coordination should be considered before installation.

For that reason, a voltage protector and

are often complementary rather than competing products.

3 Phase Voltage Protector Price in Pakistan

The price of a 3 phase voltage protector in Pakistan varies according to brand, current rating, monitoring functions and protection features.

Electrified.pk offers the CNC 4 Pole three-phase voltage protector in 63A and 100A options for suitable residential, commercial and professional electrical installations.
